Position: BI Developer with Vertica experience
Location: Wayne, PA. No remote options.
Duration: 12 months
- Familiar with Hadoop
- Great amount of experience working in Vertica (ETL, transformations, lookups in Vertica, performance optimization )
- Be an advisor would be ideal. Senior enough to provide guidance and recommendations
Notes from the Manager:
- Supporting project for linear advertising forecasting.
- Data volume is currently larger than SQL platforms can handle; so using Vertica as a tools
- Looking for dedicated Vertica developer;
- Goes beyond data integration and delivery. It s more than just shuttling along data it will include validation/business rules creation and active logging of the process. Needs active alerts on process
- Focus is on Vertica experience and understanding; hadoop is secondary.
- Needs to have about 2-3 years of experience working with Vertica
- Soft skills and communications skills are very important.
- Will have to have higher level discussions and presentations (with sr managers and above)
