Position: Kentico/Front End Developer
Location: Austin TX
Duration: 1-2 years
Top Must Have's:
- 5+ years of software application and web development experience
- Extensive experience of developing .NET based applications for CMS platforms (preferably Kentico)
- CMS experience
- AnjularJS
- Web APIs
- SQL Server
- JQuery/Javascript frameworks would be helpful
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Design, code, test, debug, implement, and maintain multi-tier applications using Visual Studio 2012/2013, .NET Framework 4/4.5, and C#
- Convert wireframes and design mockups into clean HTML/CSS markup into ASP.NET MVC layouts with a strong focus on cross-browser/platform compatibility and performance, clarity, accessibility and maintainability/scalability.
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
- Understand and demonstrate responsive/adaptive web development techniques to deliver cross device experiences.
- Identify and address performance issues within the websites.
- Maintain mastery in responsive HTML/CSS development, cutting edge UX design and general best practices.
- Detailed knowledge of progressive HTML/CSS techniques as they relate to various browser vendor/version limitations.
- In-Depth Experience with responsive design. In-Depth Experience with responsive design.
Work Experience / Knowledge
- 5+ years of software application and web development experience.
- Extensive experience of developing .NET based applications for CMS platforms preferably Kentico
- Significant expertise and hands on experience with Web Applications and programming languages such as C#, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript.
- In depth understanding of AJAX, JSON, and web browser technologies
- Experience in server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS.
- Expert skills in JavaScript and extensive experience with major JS frameworks like AngularJS, KnockoutJs RequireJs
- Strong functional knowledge and hands on experience with Web Services (REST and SOAP).
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools like TFS/GIT
- Able to write MS SQL 2008+ stored procedures and queries.
Additional Skills:
- Experience with MS SQL Server 2005-2012 and T-SQL preferred
- Experience with ASP.NET MVC 3/4
- Experience building RESTful APIs
- Experience with HTML5/CSS3 and responsive design
- Experience with Classic ASP
- Experience with Web/Windows Services
- Experience with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Entity Framework, and/or Agile Methodologies
- Experience refactoring an existing code base
- Experience integrating with third-party APIs
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, another related discipline, or equivalent additional work experience
