Position: Principal Network Architect
Location: Chelsea MA
Duration: 1 year plus possible extensions
As a Network Architect, you will have a significant impact on our success by designing, building and supporting our global production network. We expect you to have expert level knowledge and hands-on experience with complex networks and systems. We are less concerned with specific vendors you've worked with than the environment you worked in, your understanding of said environment and the impact you made.
Specific Objectives:
- Within the first few months, you will be expected to:
- Build relationships with colleagues across the entire organization.
- Familiarize yourself with available documentation and processes.
- Understand the needs of the organization's assess the efficacy of our current processes and develop a plan to address gaps.
- Create assessments of current Network architectures. Identify the key Networks for consolidation. Create plan for consolidation and execute that plan.
- Fully document current network architecture and be able to speak meaningfully about it.
- Optimize deployment of current network stack via automation.
Experience:
- Site to site VPN configurations
- Deep understand of network segmentation and firewall zones
- DMZ architecture best practices
- Network address translation
- VPN pools and IPSEC troubleshooting
- Strong understanding of Network routing / switching
- Reverse proxy configurations
- Netscaler and Cisco ASA client access configurations
- Experience with AWS and Azure a plus
- Experience with large environments
- Integration experience
- Datacenter grade & virtual firewalls
- Technology Experience Hands-On
- Cisco / Juniper firewalls / VPN
